Godspower was born and grew up in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the University of Benin, from where he received his LL.B degree in 2016 before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, where he earned his B.L degree and was duly called to the Nigerian Bar in 2017. He completed his Masters Degree at the University of Ibadan in 2021.

Godspower has several years of experience and has represented clients regularly before Nigerian Courts at all levels, and currently lectures on Canadian Law of Torts. Before moving to Canada, Godspower founded and managed a Law Firm in Lagos, Nigeria that focused on Entertainment Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property and Criminal Law.

He speaks Pidgin English (Mastery), Owan (Intermediate) and Yoruba (Intermediate). Fondly known as ‘GP’, he worked as a Legal Assistant with North and Company LLP before completing his equivalency exams. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family, reading, writing, playing guitar and watching mixed martial arts performances and football (soccer) games.
