Tyler was born and raised in Lethbridge and attended the University of Lethbridge, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Philosophy. After gaining lab experience as a plant physiologist research assistant, Tyler decided to pursue his interest in law and was accepted to the University of Alberta, where he received his Juris Doctor degree.

Tyler is a proud member of the Metis Nation of Alberta and was privileged to have been a part of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association (ILSA) at the University of Alberta. After completing law school, Tyler worked in the law school’s faculty as a program developer to promote the success of Indigenous law students. After finishing his articles with the North & Company, Tyler moved to Vancouver, BC, where he gained experience defending motor vehicle accident claims for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

Tyler was delighted to return home to North & Company in 2024 to continue a diverse practice. Tyler is an avid home chef and enjoys researching new recipes to share with friends and family. He can often be found taking a weekend stroll around Henderson Lake or the Helen Schuler Nature Reserve.
