Heather grew up in Lethbridge and attended the University of Lethbridge, where she completed her Bachelor of Education with a major in Physical Education. After teaching in Fort Macleod for four years, Heather decided to change career directions and attended the University of Alberta, where she completed her Bachelor of Laws.

Heather’s primary area of practice is Personal Injury. She can utilize her undergraduate degree and her knowledge and interest in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and the human body in general. As a Personal Injury lawyer, Heather enjoys being able to help people whose lives have been impacted significantly at no fault of their own. Heather goes beyond her work with the firm through involvement as the Lethbridge and area Judicial District Representative for the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA). The work with ACTLA includes the issues of fairness relating to the Minor Injury Regulations, changes within the insurance industry affecting injured persons and legislative changes affecting injured persons. In her 30-plus years with North & Company, Heather has enjoyed the positive team environment that fosters contribution by all.

Outside of the firm, Heather enjoys spending time with her family. Heather has always had a passion for sports. Over time, her focus has changed from competitive volleyball, curling, and slo-pitch to golf – a new challenge and passion. However, when given the opportunity, Heather loves relaxing on a beach.
