Anita M. Van Rootslaar

Anita was born and raised on a farm in southern Alberta before pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Lethbridge in Psychology. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary in 2023.

During high school and throughout her undergraduate degree, Anita worked in customer service and volunteered with several organizations. During her time at the University of Calgary, Anita volunteered with the Pro Bono Students Canada Calgary Chapter, doing legal research and creating educational resources on many topics, including wills and estates and family law.

Anita worked with North & Company LLP as a summer student in 2022 and has now started her articles. She is looking forward to learning more about the practice of law from the firm’s talented lawyers and staff, as well as building her own practice.

Anita works in the Claresholm, Vulcan, and Lethbridge offices.
